  • Michael has had formal training on McKenzie Mechanical Lumbar & Cervical training, Clinical Pilates Level 1&2; Ergonomics for Physiotherapists & Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Workshop.
About Michael

Michael has now been working in physiotherapy for over 20 years, since graduating from Melbourne University in 1998 and is even more passionate about getting the best outcomes for clients than he was then.

Michael is always studying and looking for new and innovative ways to improve the service at MD Health, including and not limited to the ideas from the fitness industry and great customer service companies.

In his spare moments, he loves spending time with his two children, Sebastian and Alexander and hopefully taking them skiing more and more often.

About Nicole

Nicole practiced as a Clinical Myotherapist in several multidisciplinary clinics for a few years before studying for her Masters. Nicole’s professional focus is about finding the cause of the problem and not just treating the symptoms.

Nicole enjoys working together with clients to manage their pain and help them achieve an improved quality of life as well as getting patients to reconnect to their bodies and achieve their full movement potential.

About Kavish
 

Kavish began his studies by initially completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Health and Medical Science (Honours) at Deakin University in Waurn Ponds, Geelong. He then completed his physiotherapy degree at The University of Melbourne and graduated in December of 2019.

Kavish has a strong interest in musculoskeletal injuries, specifically shoulder and low back pain. He is a passionate advocate for utilising strength and evidence based principles, in the rehabilitation process to get people back to doing what they enjoy the most.

Outside of work and study, Kavish is highly active as he participates in competitive boxing, mixed martial arts and strength training himself. He also loves working on his cars and is a huge snow sports fan, having grown up snowboarding.

About Andrea

Andrea obtains a Bachelors in Exercise & Sport Science & a Masters in Clinical Exercise Science & Rehabilitation. She also has recently completed her Diploma in Clinical Pilates. She has an interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions (especially lower back pain and specific diagnosis in hips). With her previous personal training experience, Andrea inspires to take her clients on journey moving from the rehabilitative phase, to progressing them to a more formal strength and conditioning program to restore optimal function.

Beyond her role as an AEP, she is a 5th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, competing at an international level having won several titles for Australia.

About Jordan

Jordan completed his bachelor of Exercise Science at La Trobe University, where he developed a passion for using exercise to improve a person’s quality of life. He then went on to complete his masters in Exercise Physiology and completed his first clinical placement at MD Health during 2020.

Jordan aims to use his knowledge of the benefits of exercise to help people improve their quality of life and achieve their own personal goals. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal injuries concerning the hip and the shoulder.

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys keeping active by going to the gym and playing local football and basketball. He also loves his music and plays guitar in a band.

About Ellie

Ellie graduated from high school in 2015 and took a gap year to work at her local bakery in Broken Hill, NSW. She then left her hometown and family to relocate to Melbourne to undertake her Bachelor of Paramedicine, which she completed in 2020 at Australian Catholic University.

Ellie previously worked in the fitness industry and found a passion for the health and nutrition.

In her spare time, Ellie likes learning about women’s health, the environment, throwing dinner parties for her friends and doing Pilates.

About Matilda

Matilda graduated from high school in 2017 and took a gap in her hometown Darwin. She then moved to Melbourne to study Environmental Science/Environment and Society at RMIT.

*Please note only the Full Body Assessment is a FREE service. The Full Body Assessment is for new clients at MD Health or returning clients who haven’t been in for 6 months or longer who intend to particpiate in our 13 Week Clinical Pilates Program**.

For all new clients who wish to come in for a one-off, casual or adhoc basis for Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology the Initial Physiotherapy or Initial Exercise Physiology appointment is a paid service.

** The 13 Week Clinical Pilates Program at MD Health is not a lock in contract and you are not required to attend for the full 13 weeks if you do not wish.
