TeleHealth Appointments at MD Health
Given the current circumstance of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we understand the drastic measures that need to be taken to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.
Please know that we at MD Health are still here to support you and still care for your general health, even if it has to be from afar.
We are happy to let you know that we have established an alternative for you to keep active and maintain your strength and fitness if you are unable to make it in to the clinic for your regular sessions whilst this crisis runs its course.
Introducing MD Health’s TeleHealth program
MD Health’s TeleHealth program allows you to still do your regular appointment with us without having to leave your house! These sessions are done via video conference call (using Zoom) as an alternative for you to still allow you do your Clinical Exercise/Pilates program from the comfort of your own home.
What is the TeleHealth Program?
Your TeleHealth appointment will take place at a time of your preference to communicate with your MD Health practitioner via video call to complete your exercises. Our staff will be able to guide you through your exercise program within the comfort and safety of your own home! Given we won’t have access to full equipment, we are offering home packs containing three different strength Therabands – this pack is available for purchase in clinic for $25! We are also able to post these to you for no additional cost if you are unable to collect one from in clinic. If you have any equipment at home, please feel free to let us know as we can incorporate these items into your program as well!
What do I need in order to book a Tele-Health appointment?
To book a Tele-Health appointment you’ll simply need:
- A strong internet connection (or mobile data)
- Computer or laptop with webcam, tablet or smart phone device
- Comfy clothes – what you would normally wear to your session at MD Health
- Optional: Theraband pack from MD Health or other exercise equipment you may have at home. Please note if you don’t have any equipment you can still do your session!
- If using a tablet or smart phone device please download the “Zoom Cloud Meetings” App – https://apps.apple.com/au/app/zoom-cloud-meetings/id546505307
Please note you don’t need to create an account to use Zoom – simply enter in the meeting ID to join your scheduled appointment!
Rebates & Pricing
Your TeleHealth appointment will be charged at your normal class size with the off-peak rate which we will charge to your credit card stored on file. If you do not have your card details stored on file please call us on 9857 0644 so we may record these for you to process your appointment. At this stage, TeleHealth cannot accept rebates for the following;
- Private Health Insurance (although, beginning from April 14th, it will be available for 1-1 sessions only in some circumstances)
If any changes occur to TeleHealth rebates, we will be sure to let you know! It might also be worthwhile to check with your Private Health Insurance provider for any details about your policy.
