Deep Neck Flexor Strengthening – Standing with banded resistance - Exercise Sheet

1. Stand with theraband (or light powerband) tied to something above head height

2. Place theraband around head, just over ears and under back of skull

3. Try to gently pull your shoulders up and back a little. Place a finger on your chin as a guide.

 

DNF with banded resistance - part 1

4. With your tongue on the roof of your mouth, gently tuck chin in, drawing away from your finger.

5. Push into theraband gently

6. Hold for 3 seconds with normal breathing

7. Release SLOWLY with control
